The big dirty (aka the Reidhead Family Reunion)

We got to the reunion late Friday night after our car broke down twice, Randall towed us to my parents, we borrowed my mom's car, and we were stuck in bad traffic. Whoh it was quite a day. Thankfully my dad and sisters and brother-in-laws had already set up our tent so we were able to go right to bed. Saturday was great weather. We did all kinds of fun stuff and got to talk with everybody. On Saturday night we had the potluck and karioke. That was fun and the weather held out nice. Sunday was rainy and cold. In the afternoon my sisters, brother-in-laws, Randall, Bret and I also went looking for elk. We ended up mud bogging and the boys shot at jack-rabbits. We had great fun. Sunday night we roasted marsh mellows and played games. On Monday we cleaned up, did corn while the boys and Christi went . That night we came home. We were tired when we got home but we had a really fun weekend!

On Saturday we went to Uncle Ralph's and rode horses. Ayla loved the horses! Pa taught her how to make a horse sound and she wanted to ride and pet and ride and pet the horses. She simply loved the whole atmosphere of the place. We had a lot of fun!




One of the cutest things all weekend was when the older s (Elli, Kenna, Rysa, Andrea) decided that they would follow Ayla around and do everything she did. She thought it was so cool to have all of them follow her around. She loved it. Also, she loved the dirt. I think the most frequent quote from me the whole weekend was "Ayla don't eat the dirt!"

Ayla also decided this weekend that she could eat with her own fork. Fun for Ayla... not so fun for mom!
Also I want to say horray for Christi and Jason and their trailor that made the reunion that much nicer... a bathroom, a shower, a warm place for the kids. Thanks for sharing with us!
