Bowling for Marcie's birthday

We all went bowling for Marcie's birthday on the 14th. Even Ayla and Bridget got to bowl. It was a lot of fun and a bit tiring too (Bridget and Ayla loved it so much they didn't like taking turns).

We are glad Marcie had a birthday so we could celebrate! Happy Birthday Marcie! We love you!

Pictures at the temple

Bret, Ayla, and I went to the temple to take some pictures of the concrete that Copperstate did there. Ayla LOVED the temple. She was so cute. We walked around and took pictures and had a great time! Here are some of the pictures :)

San Diego Trip

Well we went to San Diego for Nationals (for Bret's competition). Bret flew over Tuesday and Bruce, Gina, and I drove over on Wednesday. On Thursday we got to see Bret and watch their presentation. But, before that we waited...... and waited..... Bruce got in a few good naps and read a few books.....

Gina and I did some shopping and talking and people watching....
And and boys got ready for their presentation. They did a really good job! They didn't place this time but they still did awesome. On Friday Bret had one last thing to do with his team so we went shopping :) at seaport village. We ate lunch on the water and had a great time (except for the birds... oh so scary way to many birds).

After he was done we drove over to the San Diego temple and walked around. It was so pretty and we had a great time.

On Saturday Gina was sick but Bruce, Bret and I went to the Midway (an aircraft carrier) and toured it. We spent almost four hours there and had a great time. This was a statue by the ship, it was in a little garden that was a tribute to Bob Hope. It was a really fun day even though we felt sad Gina was sick and couldn't be with us.

It was a really fun trip. We stayed in a nice hotel and came home Sunday. They had some really cute robes in the room and Gina made sure that we took pictures of them.

Thanks to Bret for having the competition so we could go. Thanks to Gina and Bruce for taking us, and a big huge thanks to Marcie, Holly, Dena, and Mike who stayed home and took care of the kids... even though they were sick and it wasn't much fun! We love you guys!!!!

Trip to Reno

So February 12-15 we went to Reno for Bret's competition. He is in this deal at school where they put together this team and compete at a regional competition. They are given certain criteria for a building project. They then design the building, put together a schedule, and bid the project (it is more complicated then that but that is the short version). Anyways it was in Reno and there were 10 teams that went against Bret's, they did AMAZING and ended up winning first place. It was really fun to be there. Bret's parents and I went and we got to go and listen to their presentation and stuff. It was really cool. This is a picture of their team.

Aprons

Gina made all of us s aprons. They are so cute! She is an amazing seamstress mother-in-law, Grandma, and Mother. THANKS we love the aprons! (please ignore my ugly hair and no make-up in this picture... focus on the cute aprons)

I'm BACK :)

So for anyone who still looks at my blog (since I've been gone for so long...) I am back in the blogging world... for today anyways. I know it has been a while so I will just post a few things that we have been up to in the last month and a half.
Ayla has taken up some new hobbies.... shopping, shoes, purses, and cooking. She is a girl through and through. Oh and did I mention she has attitude. Well attitude about describes her right now. She is adorable (as long as she gets what she wants haha) I think I'm going to have my hands full with this one. We love her though and could not ask for a better daughter. This is us shopping when Amy came down from Utah to visit. Marcie and Holly prepped her for her coming and asked her "who's coming" at first she got all excited and said "BARNEY!!!" (I don't know where that came from), but then she got the hand of it and from then on she would yell "AMY!". We had a lot of fun.

Ayla does not like to look at the camera when you take her picture anymore. It drives me crazy. She was wearing around my shoes... she did very well for her first time walking in stilettos. Her future looks bright :)
Ayla is now quite the helper and cook. She was helping mommy cook and she did very good. We had a great time.
