Girl's Camp

This year I was the assistant camp director. We had ward camp and went to Elk's youth camp by Young. The first day we spent at the lake. We had a boat and did wake boarding and tubing and we had some canoes and a kayak. It was a really fun day- we all got so burnt but had a ton of fun.



That night we had skit night. It was silly and so much fun. The leaders skit turned out to be hilarious when Elizabeth and I convinced Arian the Young Women's president to sing most of her lines. I'm not sure if anyone else thought it was funny but we were laughing so hard. The girl's did a great job and make up some really cute skits.





The next day we had our hike. We chose to do a really light hike b/c of all of the sunburns. It turned out to be a lot of fun.


We ate lunch at the creek and than hiked back to camp. (I found out how out of shape I was on the way back)
After that we all cleaned up and make some really cute crafts. That night we had a great devotional and than testimony meeting.
After testimony meeting the other leaders and I decided we be really nice and let the girls stay up for a while so we went and played cards. Well... as it turns out three different groups (including the bishop and his counselor) went and pranked our cabin while we were being "nice" and staying up for the girls. When we found our cabin with the beds moved, our stuff switched to different beds and covered in toilet paper and silly string at one in the morning it didn't think it was very funny. In face the bishop and his counselor apparently heard me yelling for the YCLs to come clean up their pranks and they got a good laugh. In the morning I thought the prank was a little more funny- especially when we made the girl's clean it up.

I had such a great time at girl's camp. I love the girls and had my testimony built, not to mention all of the laughs I had... It was a great three days
